We cannot express how thankful we are for this program. In 2014, it came to light that my husband, Matt was struggling with an addiction to alcohol. Our relationship was failing – we lacked a trusting and vulnerable connection and I was angry… very angry. I blamed everything on Matt! We heard of the Relationship Lifeline from my aunt and decided that this was something we needed to do. We were committed to making the marriage work but didn’t know how to get past this barrier. We learned so much in four days – we came home with tools for communication and ways to deeply connect in a loving way. I learned that I had to take responsibility for my part of our problems and I began creating a safe and loving environment for Matt to share his struggles with me. And we both learned to forgive. We had so many “aha” moments during the program that will forever resonate with us. We cannot thank the Lifeline directors enough for helping us through such a trying time in our marriage. We are living happily in an addiction-free home and using our tools regularly to maintain a happy marriage. Every day is a good day!
